Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine is a mercurial musician and singer who blends soul gospel jazz and R&B to create a unique mix. Avery Sunshine has appeared on Broadway and in festivals throughout Europe, as well as performing at Democratic National Convention. Sunshine has been born Denise White. While she is living in Atlanta at present, Sunshine comes originally from Chester Pennsylvania. In Chester Pennsylvania she began her career as a musician singing and playing at the local church. She studied at Spellman College and began to study the R&B style that is popular in Atlanta. The Fighting Temptations The first single with her vocals was Stalk You a house 12 issued only in Japan It has since been remixed by a variety of producers and has become an essential part of her live set. Her voice was also featured on the soundtrack for The Fighting Temptations. She was named the principal keyboardist for Tyler Perry's musical Meet the Browns in 2005. Jennifer Holliday was the Grammy and Tony Award winner who approached her in 2007 about serving as the director of chorus for Dreamgirls the stage show at Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine was recognized nationally for her daily shows in 2008 at the Democratic National Convention. She was then invited to perform during President Obama's 2008 inauguration.
