Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shevchenko is an Kyrgyzstani as well as a Peruvian Muay Thai MMA fighter as well as a mixed martial artist currently competing in the flyweight division in the UFC. She is also the older sister of former UFC Flyweight champion and fellow UFC athlete Valentina. Antonina Shevchenko is who is a Muay Thai boxer started her professional fight career during her first IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko was victorious in this event by unanimously defeating Suzane Miller. Antonina was able to continue her professional career after winning a silver and bronze medals in 2007 and 2008 respectively, a Gold medal in 2011 along with the title of year-end 2016 IFMA amateur Muay thai world champion. Antonia's professional journey began in 2003. In 2012, she took home her the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship and in 2016 the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship and in 2016, the WMC World Championships. Antonina took on Isa Tidblad Kskikangas in the final round of Phoenix Fighting Championship. She was victorious by unanimity. Antonina Schevchenko broke her professional MMA records in 2002, when she fought Anara Bazanova at KFK Cup in Kyrgystan. She took the win by second round TKO and then won the next two fights at WXF: X-Impact World Championships 2003. She compiled an overall record of three-three. Shevchenko took a short absence from MMA and focused on her boxing. Shevchenko made her comeback in 2017 with Anissa Diddaoui. Shevchenko had the chance to beat Anissa in a unanimous decision and beat Valerie Domergue on Phoenix FC 4 in the year 2017. She joined Dana White Contender Series 2018 after leaving the promotion. Shevchenko was able to take on Jaimelene Nievera as part of Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series. Antonina's formidable strike abilities let her TKO Nievera via knees in the lower body. Following this victory Antonina was given the chance to sign a UFC contract. Antonina Shychenko debuted in the UFC at TUF's Heavy Hitters finals, where she faced Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko defeated Roxanne Modeafferi with an unanimous decision. However, she then fell in her second fight because of an unanimous verdict. Antonina was able to bounce back from the defeat by beating Lucie Pudilova at UFC on ESPN Covington against Lawler via a rear-naked choke submission. She was awarded the prize of fight-of-the-night. Shevchenko won her first three bouts, but lost the fights to Katlyn Cahookagian, Andrea Lee and Ariane Lipski. Antonina has recently been knocked out by Casey O'Neill in UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
