If Jim and Sasha Allen appeared on The Voice Live Shows, they made history because Sasha is the first openly transgender performer on the NBC reality show that made it through The Battle Rounds in the entire 21 seasons of the show. The duo, from Newtown, Conn., has gone one move further to be in the Top 8! Sasha confessed that he's transgender while preparing for Blind Auditions. Blind Auditions, and he admitted to Parade.com that the decision was a matter of thought and reflection. Sasha admitted that it was difficult to come up with a choice because he had to display a personal and vulnerable part of him in front of millions and millions. He transitioned when he was still in high school. The support of the fans and the positive impact this is having on others, even though it was difficult to take and was the main reason that was the main factor that convinced Sasha to make the change worthy. The Voice wasn't even around when we first played the song. It was a great surprise. We knew the song, and knew and we had ideas to arrange.
